Why Korean Convenience Stores Deserve a Michelin Star

You can come close to one of your average at-home meals at the convenience store and it's available 24 hours a day. Want ramen, burgers, fried chicken, hot dogs, pizza, kimbap, donkatsu, sandwiches, soups, curries, burritos, cheese, wine, coffee, ice cream, cookies or even imitation crab? For delivering almost restaurant quality food you can reach by walking a few feet north, south, east or west, these convenience stores deserve a Michelin star.

If you ever need a meal and can't be bothered, you could actually go to the convenience store and eat more than a bag of chips and a soda. Very tempting and almost complete meal options are available and can be consumed on the spot at the counter or even dining areas. Granted, the food is probably processed a bit too much and likely contains a bit too many preservatives. But some of the best times I've had were spontaneous meals or drinks with pals at the convenience store.
