NEW JEANS Loses Court Battle: Must Return to ADOR Despite Public Feud
Despite running away from their label and badmouthing them in public, K-pop girl group New Jeans must return to ADOR, says the Seoul Central District Court in its highly anticipated ruling on Friday, March 21, 2025.
After unilaterally declaring themselves free of any further obligation to finish the five years remaining on their exclusive contract, New Jeans found itself being sued by ADOR to uphold their agreement. The judge found that New Jeans lacked evidence for its multiple stances that ADOR breached trust or neglected them.
Moreover, the injunction ruling sent a clear signal to the rest of the lawsuits against New Jeans and New Jeans Mama Min Hee-jin that the legal arguments and evidence that have been paraded through the media simply do not work in a court of law.
