NEW JEANS creator Min Hee-jin disguised another press conference against HYBE in the form of a lecture on K-pop last week at the 'Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel' event. She was supposed to talk about breaking the formula of K-POP during a cultural festival of thought leaders and artists, but instead she used the platform to continue her public dialogue against her bosses.

Her self-indulgent speech lasted nearly two hours and had scant insights into her K-pop journey. Rather, it mainly focused on a rambling diatribe of defensive and offensive arguments in her current battle to regain her CEO position after being fired by her board of directors.

Nonetheless, her mask slipped and we had a rare glimpse into the inner workings of her mind, her origin story and her raison d'etre even though at times it felt like trudging through a seminar at the Jezebel Institute of Manipulation. What did you think?
